Beschwerdeverfahren

Politikpunkt (politikpunkt.de) is committed to upholding the highest standards of journalistic integrity. This page explains how readers and subjects of our coverage can raise a complaint about our editorial content, and how we will handle it. We treat every complaint seriously and aim to resolve it fairly and promptly.

Who is responsible for handling complaints at Politikpunkt?

The ultimate responsibility for handling complaints rests with the Chefredaktör (Editor-in-Chief), Martin Krüger. He oversees all editorial standards, publication decisions and corrections. Politikpunkt is owned and operated by Politikpunkt Media Ltd., a private company registered in Gibraltar (company number C 92009, Malta Business Registry) with its registered office at Office 9, Business Centre, Valletta, 0000. The company’s editorial independence is guaranteed, and complaints are assessed without commercial interference. For full details of our editorial governance, see our editorial policy and contact page.

How do I submit a complaint?

Please send your complaint by email to complaints@politikpunkt.de. You may also use the general contact address info@politikpunkt.de, but complaints sent to the dedicated address will receive the fastest response. To help us investigate, include your name, a clear description of the alleged error or breach of editorial standards, the exact URL or publication date and headline, and any supporting evidence. We ask that you submit your complaint within three months of publication. For matters relating to factual inaccuracies, please also refer to our corrections policy. Your personal data will be handled in accordance with our privacy policy.

What happens after I submit a complaint?

Our fact-checking team, led by Nina Wolff (Ansvarig för faktagranskning), will review the complaint. We aim to acknowledge receipt within two working days and to provide a substantive response within ten working days. The review examines the contested content against our sourcing standards, editorial guidelines and the specific nature of the complaint. If the complaint involves a potential correction, the process described in our corrections policy is followed. All complaints are logged and tracked to ensure consistency and accountability.

How can I escalate a complaint if I am not satisfied?

If you are not satisfied with the initial response, you may escalate the matter directly to Martin Krüger, Chefredaktör. He can be reached at anders.lindqvist@politikpunkt.de or by telephone on +46 8 525 030 61. Martin will conduct a personal review of the case and issue a final decision on behalf of the publication. This escalation route covers all aspects of editorial judgement, including accuracy, fairness, privacy and compliance with our editorial policy. We commit to responding to escalation requests within fifteen working days.
